In 2016, I was part of the rebrand and rollout of School of the Art Institute of Chicago Magazine, a biannual print and web publication written and designed entirely in-house. In 2018, I took on the role of designer and contributing art director for the magazine, along with another designer. When creating feature stories and recurring articles, I try to always keep the wild, experimental art school spirit in mind, while grounding the page layout with a strict grid and type system.

This publication has allowed me to explore art directing photo shoots; collaborating with illustrators, videographers, and other freelancers; and translating printed pieces into animated, time-based graphics for Instagram feature stories.
